Acne Solutions at Fountain of You

According to the American Academy of Dermatology Association, acne is the most common skin condition in the U.S. and affects up to 50 million Americans annually.  There are a few treatments available that can be especially helpful in treating acne.  This article is going to discuss 3 ways to effectively treat acne.  If you are a teen or adult struggling with acne, then we recommend pursuing one or more of these treatments to finally win the acne battle.

Chemical peels, medical facials, and AviClear acne laser treatment are 3 effective tools in combating acne.  One of these or a combination of them may be the acne solution for you.  If over-the-counter products haven’t cleared your acne, then it’s time to find a real solution with these treatments.

At Fountain of You, we deal with a wide variety of skin issues.  Acne and the scars it can leave behind are not new to us.  We have multiple treatments available to help you finally win the acne battle.  We understand that it isn’t just a physical battle with your skin, but that it can take an emotional toll, as well.  Whether you have been teased because of your acne or are simply self-conscious, our caring and compassionate team of professionals will walk with you through your journey to clear skin and a restored sense of well-being.

Chemical Peels

At Fountain of You, we use TCA (Trichloroacetic Acid) chemical peels to treat a variety of skin issues.  We can adjust this chemical peel for a shallow, medium, or deep treatment.  After prepping your skin, the solution is applied and left on for several minutes, then neutralized.  Your face is then cleaned and an ointment is applied to encourage healing.  A deeper peel can be used once your acne is under control to help minimize any scarring that your acne may have caused.  As the name suggests, you will experience peeling.  This is nothing to be alarmed about and is part of the process as your skin is replenished.  Once the peeling is done, you will see a marked difference in your skin’s appearance.

Medical Facials

Fountain of You offers a variety of facials.  If you are experiencing typical teen breakouts caused by hormones, then our “Just for Teens” facial may be right for you.  It is a 30-minute facial that includes a deep clean and maximum pore extraction to help clear your skin.  Doing this on a regular basis can help keep your breakouts under control.  We know that some teens experience more severe acne.  Additionally, some people begin experiencing acne in adulthood.  We have facials for you too.

Our Diamond Glow facials exfoliate at a deeper level than our other facials for those with more severe acne.  These facials are performed using a wand with a recessed diamond tip.  This wand exfoliates, extracts, and infuses.  The exfoliation removes surface dirt and dead skin cells.  The extraction cleanses your pores.  The infusion is used to infuse your skin with Skin Medica serums for your particular skin needs.  Not only will you see immediate results, but you will see continued improvement over the next 72 hours!

AviClear Acne Laser Treatment

For those of you in an ongoing acne battle, from mild to severe, Fountain of You is excited to announce that we now offer AviClear acne laser treatments.  AviClear is the first FDA-cleared energy device for the treatment of acne.  It uses a laser with a specific wavelength (1726 nm) to target and suppress the sebaceous glands eliminating acne at its source.  Treatments last approximately 30 minutes. AviClear consists of 3 treatments, once a month for 3 months.  If you are skeptical or nervous about this treatment, check out these results.  We think you will find them extremely encouraging!

Treatments for Acne Scars

Because acne can cause scarring, we also wanted to mention treatments offered here at Fountain of You that can reduce and minimize acne scars.  Once your acne is under control using one or more of the above treatments, you may feel ready to address any scarring that has taken place.  We are here for your whole journey and offer multiple treatments that can reduce acne scars.

  • Microneedling
  • Dermaplaning
