What is Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is a type of facial, but it is more exfoliating than a traditional facial. Dermaplaning removes dead skin cells by scraping them away using a gentle, yet effective procedure. You can see in the video that the client is relaxed and the procedure is gentle which should put your mind at ease. Dermaplaning removes dirt, oil, and dead skin cells. In addition to scraping away the dead skin cells, dermaplaning removes the light layer of hair on your face which is often referred to as “peach fuzz.” Some people have thicker or darker “peach fuzz” which makes them feel self-conscious. This is an effective, painless procedure to remove the unwanted facial hair layer. It will grow back, but you can simply come in for another dermaplaning session!
What Other Benefits Does Dermaplaning Offer?
- Dermaplaning basically tricks your skin into thinking there has been an injury, even though the procedure does not injure you and is painless. Because of this “fake injury,” the skin produces healthier, plump skin cells creating smooth, soft skin.
