  • Osteoporosis is a major cause of morbidity in the elderly, so it is important to protect your bones early before bone loss begins to occur. Impact exercise, adequate calcium intake and replacing estrogen as a woman enters menopause can make a difference in your bone health. Although more women than men suffer from osteoporosis, it is not exclusive to women. Men can also lose bone as they age. Dr. Zipper can diagnose your bone health with a dexascan in the office and prescribe therapy for those at risk. Calcium, in the form of microcrystalline hydroxyapatite concentrate, the formulation in our supplement, has been shown to be effective in slowing the bone loss in patients with osteoporosis. Dietary magnesium deficiency is also a contributing factor in bone loss, so our supplement contains magnesium in a 2:1 ratio with calcium. We include Vitamin D in our supplement because it stimulates the absorption of calcium in the intestines.
  • New Formulation! Much is being written about coenzyme Q-10 because of the research finding that statins deplete the body CoQ-10 supply. In most of our cells, food energy is converted into energy in the mitochondria with the aid of CoQ-10. As we age, our CoQ-10 levels decrease so supplementation can encourage efficient energy production. Dr. Zipper is constantly looking for better supplements and this one is all natural and crystal-free, to provide superior absorption and bioavailability. The dosage is 10 mg less than our original supplement per capsule but because of the increased absorption, more of the product is available to the mitochondria.

Our DHEA is provided as a sublingual tablet to bypass the liver metabolism that occurs with an orally ingested tablet to increase bioavailability.

  • Melatonin is secreted by the pineal gland, with levels peaking at night to help maintain our tissues in a youthful state. Melatonin declines significantly with age, as the pineal gland becomes calcified. This melatonin formulation is for those who need the fastest possible sleep-inducing action. By dissolving in the mouth, melatonin goes directly to the brain and bypasses the liver where much of orally ingested melatonin can be metabolized (in some people) before it reaches the brain. Melatonin most effectively supports nighttime sleep when taken 15 minutes before bedtime.
