Practical PALEO Resources

paleo diet foods

Greetings! We have spent the last few blog posts discussing the PALEO lifestyle.

This type of eating and living incorporates real unprocessed foods such as grass-fed and grass finished beef, fish, and seafood, healthy whole fats like avocado and nuts/seeds, along with fresh fruits and vegetables. Careful consideration is given to the way in which these items are grown and harvested to ensure that you are consuming nutrient dense foods to fuel you throughout your day. Because of the emphasis on real foods, processed sugars, most grains and legumes, refined vegetable oils, and dairy (with a few exceptions) are considered off-limits.

It can be challenging to transition to this type of eating because we tend to focus on all the things that we are not supposed to eat as opposed to the plethora of amazing items we can. This is where lifestyle comes into play. There are no hard and fast rules here, simply make small adjustments that add up over time. Before you know it, you will have created a sustainable lifestyle that changes you from the inside out. If PALEO is new to you and you have questions, here are some great resources to get you started on learning more. Follow the links for general information, recipes, and accompanying exercise options that may work for you.
