Much is being written about coenzyme Q-10 because of the research finding that statins deplete the body CoQ-10 supply. In most of our cells, food energy is converted into energy in the mitochondria with the aid of CoQ-10. As we age, our CoQ-10 levels decrease so supplementation can encourage efficient energy production. Dr. Zipper is constantly looking for better supplements and this one is all natural and crystal-free, to provide superior absorption and bioavailability. The dosage is 10 mg less than our original supplement per capsule but because of the increased absorption, more of the product is available to the mitochondria.
