Bone Support

Osteoporosis is a major cause of morbidity in the elderly, so it is important to protect your bones early before bone loss begins to occur. Impact exercise, adequate calcium intake and replacing estrogen as a woman enters menopause can make a difference in your bone health. Although more women than men suffer from osteoporosis, it is not exclusive to women. Men can also lose bone as they age. Dr. Zipper can diagnose your bone health with a dexascan in the office and prescribe therapy for those at risk. Calcium, in the form of microcrystalline hydroxyapatite concentrate, the formulation in our supplement, has been shown to be effective in slowing the bone loss in patients with osteoporosis. Dietary magnesium deficiency is also a contributing factor in bone loss, so our supplement contains magnesium in a 2:1 ratio with calcium. We include Vitamin D in our supplement because it stimulates the absorption of calcium in the intestines.
